Linkedin Experience and Tips
In order to do cold calling business development, I downloaded and used a variety of software and platforms, including Tinder and Accupass, etc. But as soon as I download Tinder, I immediately find that I am not their target audience. It does not make sense to pay before matching.
As for the Accupass APP, it is said that it will be stopped recently. It meets 20 strangers every day, but the proportion of people related to entrepreneurship is not high, and a certain percentage of people have made it clear that they are on the Accupass because they are single. Basically, I don't know what to talk with them about.
So far, I think the best cold call business development tool I have used so far is Linkedin, and the second I think is bMightie. But today, I will share my Linkedin experience and tips first because of space.
There are actually a lot of English Linkedin webinars on Youtube, and I have seen some of them, but I personally think that for extremely busy entrepreneurs, some processes can be more optimized.
When it comes to the video of teaching cold calling business development on Youtube, they will always tell you to customize your invitation letter, but they do not mention exactly what customization is.
Therefore, before talking about the customized invitation letter, I personally suggest that there is an important thing to do first, that is, to quickly browse the keywords of the other party's resume to judge the degree of customization, or maybe not even send the invitation.
I personally will make a corresponding judgment after a quick review of each person's experience, and divide it into four categories:
1. No invitations
2. Send invitations directly
3. Send invitation + self-introduction
4. Surround the target by all means
There are several reasons for not sending an invitation:
i. Number of contacts: When there are more than 500 Linkedin friends, the number will simply display "500+"
ii. Posts or Interactions:
The user's posts and interaction records on Linkedin will be displayed on the personal page, so if there are no posts and interactions, it means that the user has not been online for a long time
iii. Degree of professional relevance: this should not be explained
2. Send invitations directly
Usually they are of the same generation, especially if they are my elder classmates or younger classmates within 3 to 5 years (without C-Level position), for example. Sometimes I send invitations from the Linkedin app, and I don’t write special invitation messages in this case.
3. Send invitation + Self-introduction
This is divided into a desktop version and a mobile version. After the desktop version sends an invitation, a message will automatically pop up, and you can enter the so-called "personalized" invitation (as for how to write a personalized invitation, this will have the opportunity to write another explanation. ), and the mobile version has to click "Personalized Invitation Message" to edit the personalized message, and typing on the mobile phone is very troublesome, so I usually send the invitation directly on the mobile phone, unless I meet a great person. "Personalized Invitation Message" will be specifically clicked.
